This past September, PEI para swimmers Moni Zlatev, Veronica MacLellan, and Greg Morrison, along with Island coach Edie Rogers, had the exciting opportunity to attend the Swim New Brunswick Para Swim Camp!
The camp brought together para swimmers and coaches for an opportunity to connect, share experiences, develop new skills, and, most importantly, have fun!
Our Island athletes enjoyed spending time with fellow para swimmers, learning from different coaches, and building friendships within the Atlantic Canadian swimming community.
A special shoutout goes to Greg Morrison, an alumni swimmer who began assisting Coach Edie last year with coaching para swimmers. Greg’s decision to give back to the swimming community by sharing his experience and supporting the next generation of para athletes is a wonderful example of the lasting impact of our sport!
A big thank you to Swim New Brunswick for extending the invitation to our PEI swimmers and coaches. Opportunities like these help strengthen the para swimming community and encourage athletes and coaches alike to continue learning, growing, and enjoying the sport they love.
